These cards were prepared by a skilled craftsman friend of the bride's family with glitter paint, beads and the Heart in a Circle cutout.
All I did was write the names in in a pretty pink italic face.

Invitation to a wedding in Ravello, Italy.
One of just 35 sumptuously written and decorated invitations, rolled in a piece of the local hand made paper and slipped into a beautifully crafted scroll box with the recipient's name written in white script
on the top.

A form of Blackletter text with enlarged Capitals in red for the title and first line.

Swash capitals in red begin each and every line of what would otherwise appear a rather dull pattern of ‘German Blackletter’ text.
Hardiman Family Tree
A large rambling family history, over four feet wide, covering several family trees in one. Each single person's or married couple's name was written on a separate small sheet of white paper in blue with black for the dates
(see adjacent examples).
These were then attached to the main board which carries the family coat of arms.

Close, close, lettering
Following the suggestion contained in the poem
I used the ‘close, close’ writing method you may have seen me use before.
This involves writing lines of text which
touch one another on their
top and bottom edges. separated solely
by colour difference.

My 2005 Christmas Card
This is written in a real old 'Uncial' form but using a modern layout technique of sqeezing the lines of text together and delineating them by alternating their colours. Note the use of half size letters or words to assist in achieving
even line lengths -
